Consultant - Post Production Operations - Media Asset Manager

What I do 

• Technical Assistant Editor, fix issues with large Avid / Premiere projects that have older mixed projects with heavy archival and codec issues,

• Media asset management  which includes:

  • Figuring out the best storage and back up system 

  • Manage digital media assets across shared server environments, DAM systems, and cloud-based platforms or multiple harddrives. Maintaining organization, file integrity, and delivery accuracy across concurrent projects.

 

I've built and maintained archival databases for large-scale documentary productions for PBS American Experience out of NYC, and as a Technical Specialist for Loyola Marymount University to manage data and student employees in 2026. Prior to that I coordinated ingest-to-delivery workflows for episodic and marketing content across major streamers as an Assistant Editor in IATSE MPEG.

 

Quality control and technical validation

I perform picture and audio QC against technical specifications, metadata standards, and naming conventions.

 

Asset and Archival Libraries

I identify missing assets, flag technical issues proactively, and keep stakeholders informed on asset status and delivery readiness. I'm fluent in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid — and comfortable validating project collections, graphics packages, and layered creative assets across all of them. 

 

Workflow coordination and vendor liaison

I coordinate between editors, designers, color facilities, audio partners, finishing houses, and VFX vendors, notably Industrial Light and Magic. I've served as the connective tissue between creative teams and technical operations, translating between what editors need and what IT and infrastructure can support.

 

Documentation and Knowledge transfer

I teach post-production technology at Loyola Marymount University, including media management technologies. I create documents and how to's on making DCPs, Server Management, Proxy creation.
