Professor - Tutor
Over the past two years, I have held a prestigious position as an adjunct professor at Loyola Marymount University (LMU), an esteemed institution consistently ranked among the top ten film schools in the United States. At LMU, I have had the privilege of instructing both undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of courses. Specifically, I teach the comprehensive "Intro to Post Production" course, where I delve into the intricacies of industry-standard software Avid Media Composer 2023 and DaVinci Resolve.
In my role as an educator, I place significant emphasis on the invaluable process of receiving and incorporating feedback notes in the field of editorial work. I guide my students in developing the essential skills of interpreting feedback as editors while maintaining emotional composure and professionalism.
To ensure that my teachings remain up to date and relevant, I continuously engage in diligent research on emerging technologies across various non-linear editing (NLE) software platforms. I am particularly well-versed in the integration of AI technologies in Adobe Premiere, the utilization of Unreal Engine as a powerful tool, and the implementation of AI as a proxy maker.
I have also established a private teaching practice exclusively focused on Avid Media Composer. Through personalized instruction, I provide valuable insights and guidance to individuals seeking to enhance their proficiency in this renowned editing software. My private tutoring services are available at an hourly rate, and I encourage you to reach out so that we may discuss your specific goals and aspirations in more detail.
I take great pride in my professional expertise and unwavering commitment to the advancement of my students and clients alike. I continue to teach night courses at LMU, once a week. I work with a graduate teaching assistant who runs my lab on another evening. This part time accommodation allows me to be available during working hours.
