A working Video Editor since receiving her MFA 8 years ago; Rebecca thrives on molding different types of content. From political documentaries, sports and music; theaters to YouTube to exhibits there isn't much that she hasn't touched. She is known for her speed in editing and expertise with archival/found footage. Her ability to craft interview bites and persistence has landed her in many prestigious doc houses.
Rebecca is currently searching for her next project. Most recently she was editing a documentary on Taiwan with director Vanessa Hope. Previous to that she assisting Lauren Greenfield in finishing 'The Kingmaker', a doc that followed Imelda Marcos of the Philippines.
She was based out of NYC for 6 years where in '19, she edited an exhibit piece for the American Museum of Natural History on a controversial statue of Theodore Roosevelt which included eugenics. She also edited a NYTimes OpDoc on the black lives matter movement in relation to the Black Panther Party.
Extensive editing was also done for
Billboard; Live from Lincoln Center;
CBS Sports Network & Hearst Digital.
Other directors she has worked for include Stanley Nelson (Firelight), Bill Moyers, Rob Rapley, Catherine Gund, Morgan Spurlock, Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady & has ties to the Austin Film Society.
